shareAcar.com was launched in 2003 to provide a safe environment for commuters to locate and contact others who were travelling similar journeys to themselves.

Officepark built the site including the front end design as well as the complex database engine which manages users, their journeys and a full messaging system.
Building a Business
The idea behind shareAcar.com was excellent, particuly when viewed in an environemnt of increasing fuel costs and a desire to act in a more environmentally friendly way. After extensive research it was realised that "Being Safe" was a key element in pursuading users to car share, therefore the site made this its major endeavour and by using credit card verification to check the details of all registrants, it has become the No.1 UK Carsharing Network.
